The Color Excerpts (Oct. 03, 2016)
This week is a little short, but it also gets a little steamy. Check it out.
He took my hand and led the way. I followed him to his bedroom,
and he turned on the light. I was frozen in place. I couldn’t
even put words together. Right above his bed was my painting. The
first one I’d ever sold. He crept up behind me, wrapped his toned
arms across my waist, and pressed his lips to my ear.
“Do you feel it?” he whispered. “The way it brings tranquility
to the room from the outside in. It makes me feel like my mood is
shifting to a peaceful place, and nothing else matters.”
He inhaled my perfume, sending a tingling sensation through
my body. I felt his tongue slide across my neck, and it took my
breath away. My vision left me as my eyes rolled to the back of my
head. I turned around and put my hand on his chest. His heart was
racing just as fast as my mind.
“Wait. What are you doing?” I asked. “I can’t do this.”
I advanced toward the door, but he grabbed my arm.
Surprisingly, I didn’t resist. I was stuck in place.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa. Where are you going?” he asked.
“I shouldn’t be here. I’m playing with fire, and I might get
“You’re supposed to be here, and you know it. Just let it
He crept in for another kiss. His lure was hypnotizing, but I
managed to snap out of it at the last second. “I’m in a relationship,
Mike! I’m in a relationship with a person who treats me right. She
loves me, and I love her.”
“One kiss. Give me one kiss, just to see if something is there. If
there isn’t, then you can leave.”
I didn’t have to give him permission to come closer to me. My
curiosity was as deep as his tenacity, and he knew it. He closed his
hypnotizing eyes as he got closed in. Everything in my mind was
telling me to stop him, turn around, and leave the apartment. The
problem was I didn’t want him to stop. I didn’t want to leave. My
feet were cemented into the floor. He pulled me in the rest of the
way and held me tight. His finger lifted my chin up.
Our mouths locked. His lips were soft and moist, and I felt as if
my lips could learn from them. It was nice and slow. He nibbled on
my bottom lip and then used his tongue to soothe it. We floated
over to his bed and fell together like choreographed ballerinas,
with him on top of me.
